The E. coli & thermotolerant Coliform bacteria count plate based on enzyme substrate test contains the chromogenic substrate of glucuronidase exclusively found in Escherichia coli, and the chromogenic substrate of thermostable galactosidase produced by Coliform. With the incubation at 44.5℃, Escherichia coli colonies appears blue, and the purple or blue ones correspond to thermostable Coliforms flora.
