Mercury-free differential pressure BOD tester

In the Water Quality monitoring industry, I believe that everyone should be fascinated by the BOD analyzer. According to the national standard, BOD is the biochemical oxygen demand. Dissolved oxygen consumed in the process. Common BOD detection methods include activated sludge method, coulometer method, dilution inoculation method, microbial electrode method, mercury differential pressure method and mercury-free differential pressure method, etc. With the increasingly serious domestic water pollution in recent years and the strengthening of environmental protection monitoring, the mercury-free differential pressure method for BOD detection has become more and more popular among customers. The principle of the mercury-free differential pressure sensor is to use the respiration method to measure BOD. The reduction of oxygen in a confined space will produce a certain pressure difference, and this pressure difference can be sensed by the pressure sensing probe. In a closed system, microorganisms in the sample generate carbon dioxide while consuming oxygen, and the generated carbon dioxide is absorbed by sodium hydroxide, resulting in a change in air pressure. The pressure change is measured by a pressure sensor and converted into a BOD value. Its advantages are: accurate, fast, mercury-free, will not cause secondary pollution to the environment, and can meet the requirements of environmental testing and monitoring.

 

Common brands of mercury-free differential pressure BOD testers on the market include: Lianhua, HACH, Hanna, MettlerToledo, ThermoScientific, OAKTON, YSI, etc. Generally speaking, the mercury differential pressure BOD analyzer is selected as the air quality analyzer because it can measure the size of the mercury differential pressure and can perform corresponding processing according to the measurement results. Lianhua's mercury-free differential pressure BOD instrument increases safety, reduces the use of experimental steps and consumables, and is more energy-saving and environmentally friendly.

 

Use process:

1. Put the sample into the sample container of the analyzer and operate according to the instructions;

2. Put the sample container into the analyzer, turn on the analyzer, and set the measurement parameters;

3. Put the probe of the analyzer into the sample container and start the measurement;

4. According to the results displayed by the analyzer, record the BOD value;

5. Clean the measuring instrument, clean the sample container, and complete the measurement.
